The Oprah Winfrey Network on DISH

I am the worlds biggest skeptic.  So when I heard that Oprah Winfrey was going from a TV show, to a magazine, to her own network channel, well,  let’s be honest here. I didn’t think there was going to be a market for Oprah Winfrey 24/7/365.  But, for being a skeptic, I also have an open mind, so I started looking into this concept and you know what?  I was pleasantly surprised.

oprah winfrey network on dish tvThe purpose of the network is to take Oprah’s original  TV show and magazine vision and expand on it. “This is not about creating Oprah TV … ” says Christina Norman, Oprah Winfrey Network CEO, “Helping people live their best lives is a vision she shares with millions of people.”  This is just her way of being able to reach out and impact more than the average individual can.

The programming is designed to educate, influence and entertain. Programing choices cover such categories as Health, Relationships, The Spirit, Fashion and Beauty, Books, Food and more.

Shows like “Master Class” offers first-person interviews of the brilliant minds of famous people we love, respect and admire. “What Would You Do?” explores topics such as; questioning an authority figure, breastfeeding in public, teen thugs trashing a car, and abuse of people who are obese.  ”The Gayle King Show” brings you her best-friend-style unfiltered opinions on today’s news makers, celebrities, hot topics and pop culture. With programming like that,  who couldn’t find something to be, at the very least, entertained?

The fact that you can order DISH Network today and find the Oprah Winfrey Network on channel 189 in the following packages for far less than on cable television, makes this new network option an even more pleasant surprise.

Entertainment meant inspire me to make my life better?  Who can’t afford to have that?  I know I can fit a better life into my budget.
