MLB 2012 Predictions According to Sports Illustrated
SI predicts that the New York Yankees will end their 2012 season with a 95-67 record, putting them at the top of the American League East. The Detroit Tigers will end with a 93-69 season putting them in the lead of the American League Central, and the LA Angels will lead the American League West with a 97-65 record. In the National League East, SI sees the Phillies finishing the season with the best record—94-68 while the Reds take the Central division with a record of 89-73. Finally, the San Francisco Giants will take the West division with a 90-72 record.
MLB 2012 Playoff Predictions
The AL Wild-Card Playoff will see the Texas Rangers beat the Rays, and the NL Wild-Card Playoff will see the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Miami Marlins. The American League Division Series will see the Angels over the Rangers and the Yankees over the Tigers. The National League Division Series will see the Phillies beat the Diamondbacks and the Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds. The AL Championship Series will have the Angels over the Yankees, and the NL Championship will see the Giants beat the Phillies.
